Handmade and hand-drawn quilt for a baby girl. All fabric designs as well as the assembly and sewing were all done by Sara Lorraine of Thread & Thicket. Cheerful and sweet, a quilt is one of the most special gifts for a new mom or newborn baby girl!
Please note the quilt top (front) is a single piece of pre-printed fabric; it is NOT constructed of squares sewn together (traditionally-pieced), although it sure looks like it is! This was done so that Sara could spend the time saved and sew more quilts so that YOU can have one!
Details: All outer fabric and thread are 100% cotton. The batting (inside fill) is 80% cotton / 20% polyester. BEFORE washing, the quilt measures approximately 40.5 " x 51.5," and AFTER washing will measure approximately 38.5" x 49.5." Colors will fade with more washings. Please allow variance of a few inches on these measurements. The quilt will gain a textured / wrinkled surface after washing (see last 2 images); all quilts do this, so please expect it to lose the smoothness permanently!
Care Instructions: Wash with gentle detergent on a delicate cycle. Tumble dry low heat.
